Wolf shines as Flames beat Kraken in shootout – Calgary


SEATTLE – Matvei Gridin and Morgan Frost scored within the shootout and netminder Dustin Wolf took care of the remaining because the Calgary Flames edged the Seattle Kraken 2-1 in NHL pre-season motion at Climate Pledge Arena on Monday.

Berkly Catton gave the Kraken a 1-0 lead at 2:02 of the second interval, after outshooting the guests 17-5 within the opening body.

Wolf completed the sport with 32 saves in regulation time, three in additional time, and three of 4 within the shootout. Frederick Gaudreau scored the lone Kraken purpose within the shootout.

Kraken netminder Philipp Grubauer stopped 18 pictures in regulation time and two in additional time. He stopped two of 4 pictures within the shootout.

Each crew went 0-for-2 on the facility play and the Kraken outhit the guests 40-20.
