Tamil Nadu BJP chief Okay Annamalai on Wednesday attacked Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) authorities and the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department after an enchantment was filed in opposition to the Madras High Court’s Madurai Bench order permitting devotees to mild lamps on the hill lamp publish of Arulmigu Subramaniyaswami Temple in Thiruparankundram forward of the Karthigai Deepam pageant.

Karthigai Deepam or Karthika Deepam is well known in Tamil Nadu throughout the full moon of Karthigai month when Shiva’s Agni kind is worshipped. The Maha Deepam lighting at Arunachaleswarar Temple attracts hundreds of thousands of devotees worldwide.
