Nitish Kumar to be sworn in once more as CM on November 20



Janata Dal (United) president Nitish Kumar will likely be sworn in because the Bihar chief minister once more on November 20 at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, The Hindu reported.

This would be the tenth time that Kumar will take oath because the state’s chief minister.

On Monday, the incumbent chief minister submitted the Cabinet’s suggestion to dissolve the present Assembly to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. All ministers subsequently tendered their resignation.

The Assembly will likely be formally dissolved on Wednesday, after which Kumar will resign, the newspaper reported.

The ruling National Democratic Alliance gained the Bihar Assembly elections on Friday, bagging 202 of the 243 whole seats, in accordance with the Election Commission knowledge.

The tally of the Opposition Mahagathbandhan was 35 seats.

As a part of the NDA, Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) gained 85 seats, virtually doubling its tally of 43 seats from the 2020 polls. The Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as the one largest by way of seat share after profitable 89 of the 101 constituencies it contested, whereas the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) gained 19.

From the Opposition alliance, the Rashtriya Janata Dal gained 25 seats, whereas the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation clinched two. The Congress gained six seats.

A celebration or an alliance wants 122 seats within the 243-member Assembly to kind the federal government.
