Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The annual Nipat Niranjan Maharaj Fair organised on the Nipat Niranjan Maharaj historical temple within the Hanuman Tekdi space concluded on Tuesday with enthusiasm and non secular gaiety. The seven-day competition ended with a recitation of the Bhagavad Gita.

Earlier, the ‘Abhishek’ with 50 litres of milk was carried out at 5.30pm, adopted by a puja by priest Sarang Joshi. A naivedya of berries and guavas was supplied to Nipat Niranjan Maharaj. Thousands of devotees from the district and close by areas visited and paid obeisance through the honest.

On Tuesday, an exhibition of 25 oxen was held. Shops promoting toys, edible gadgets, and different articles have been arrange within the space. Ramnath Shelke and his household offered two quintals of khichadi as prasada for the devotees.

Residents gathered in giant numbers to view the oxen exhibition and the wrestlers’ bouts held within the afternoon beneath the steerage of Hansraj Dongare. The bouts continued until late at night time. Prize cash amounting to Rs 39,000 was distributed to the profitable wrestlers. Sharad Kachare, Mahesh Dongre, Rameshwar Vidhate, and others have been current.
