More drones noticed close to Danish army bases – POLITICO


Denmark reported recent drone sightings above protection websites Friday and Saturday, after every week of chaos within the skies that quickly shut down main airports.

The Danish protection ministry confirmed drone exercise was detected at Skrydstrup Air Base and the Jutland Dragoon Regiment, however wouldn’t affirm native media reviews of sightings above the nation’s largest army base close to Karup, the Associated Press reported.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen mentioned earlier this week that Europe was engaged in a “hybrid warfare” after a wave of drone exercise plagued the nation’s airspace, with authorities blaming an unnamed “skilled actor”.

Danish officers have accepted a proposal from Sweden to “lend Denmark a army anti-drone functionality” forward of an EU leaders’ assembly in Copenhagen subsequent week, the protection ministry confirmed on X Friday night.

German media reported drone sightings in Schleswig-Holstein, close to the Danish border, Friday evening, in what authorities suspected to be espionage.
