Berlin is recalling for consultations its ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, after he grew to become the goal of assaults from the pro-Russia authorities of the South Caucasus nation, the German international ministry introduced on Sunday.
“For many months, the Georgian management has been agitating towards the EU, Germany and likewise German Ambassador Fischer personally,” the Federal Foreign Office wrote on X in a publish saying the choice to recall the ambassador “for consultations on how you can proceed.”
