German Chocolate Butter Cookies Inspired by the Original

Storing

Store your cookies in a cookie tin field or closed meals field (relying in your local weather).

In a dry local weather, lay out the tin field with parchment paper and stack the cookies rigorously over one another.

In a damp local weather, lay out a plastic Tupperware-style field with parchment paper and stack the cookies over one another. Close effectively with the lid.

Keep the field away from direct daylight and humidity (i.e., a basement). We preserve the bins on a shelf in our pantry.

Additionally, if you happen to dwell in a dry local weather, cowl the cookies within the tin field with a layer of parchment, place a chunk of apple peel over the parchment, and shut the lid.

The cookies will not end up too dry with the apple peel within the field.

If saved correctly as per instruction, they are going to be good for at the very least 1–2 months. I like to recommend labeling the field in order that you recognize if you baked them.
