A fireplace in a flat in Edificio El Camping on Calle Alhambra in La Herradura broke out within the early afternoon of yesterday.
The emergency coordination centre, 112, acquired a name at 15.20h to say that there was a hearth in a 4th-storey flat within the mentioned constructing.
The emergency centre alerted the Almuñécar Fire Department, the Guardia Civil, the Policía Local and the 061 ambulance service.
Despite the flames, no one was injured… though a cat needed to be rescued that had remained within the flat.
As a precaution, the residents residing on the third and 4th flooring have been quickly evacuated from the constructing.
