Spicy stuff in the midst of the Adelaide Oval between England captain Ben Stokes and quick bowler Jofra Archer.
The fast was carted for 12 runs off his first seven deliveries of the morning after sending down some terrible quick and broad balls that Starc helped on his method to the boundary.
On ball eight, Archer lastly pitched up and bowled Starc.
Stokes ran in to provide Archer a five-high however Archer didn’t initially see it.
They then bumped fingers earlier than Stokes proceeded to provide a not-so-subtle stern phrase to Archer. Stokes was clearly sad with Archer not being on from ball one.
The skipper didn’t look pleased as Archer shrugged his shoulders.
Are tensions fraying within the England camp? It’s not usually you see a skipper so animated at a participant.
Archer’s speeds have been the topic of debate over the primary few Tests.
