M. Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, had a working dinner at the moment with Mr Wang Yi, Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs of the Communist Party of China, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
The two ministers emphasised France and China’s joint duty, as everlasting members of the United Nations Security Council, to work to seek out constructive options to the threats hanging over the world’s safety and stability. They talked, amongst different issues, about Ukraine, worldwide crises, world financial imbalances and the upcoming French G7 presidency.
The Minister recalled the necessity for efficient dialogue between the European Union and China to protect worldwide stability and multilateralism.
