Nissan to streamline design community, shut U.S. and Brazil studios


YOKOHAMA, Japan: Nissan Motor will shut down its design studios in California and Sao Paulo and reduce services in London and Japan as a part of a world overhaul of its design operations, the corporate mentioned.

The Japanese automaker mentioned the restructuring, to be accomplished by the tip of fiscal 2025, goals to streamline its design community.

The adjustments fall below its broader “Re:Nissan” turnaround plan and can consolidate the corporate’s design group into 5 hubs: Los Angeles, London, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Japan’s Atsugi.

Nissan mentioned its Los Angeles “Studio Six” will function the first U.S. design hub, whereas London will proceed to assist the automaker’s Africa, Middle East, India, Europe, and Oceania markets in collaboration with companion Renault.
