President Trump recalled telling assassinated conservative activist Charlie Kirk he had “a superb likelihood of being president” someday because of the Turning Point US co-founder’s talent at capturing the eye and creativeness of younger voters.
“I really stated, ‘Charlie, sometime I believe you might have a superb likelihood at being president, I believe you may be president possibly’ and I believe he would’ve had an amazing likelihood. He was very compelling,” Trump informed Fox News host Martha MacCallum in an interview aired Thursday.
“I’ve by no means seen anyone seize a gaggle of individuals like he captured youth. He captured youth, it was unimaginable,” the president went on.
“You know after I say he was a younger man, however I’m speaking concerning the 20-year-olds and the 18-year-olds, it was like he had a following that was unimaginable.”
Kirk, a robust supporter of the forty fifth and forty seventh president was shot and killed whereas talking at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.
Tyler Robinson, 22, is charged along with his homicide and Utah prosecutors have stated they’ll search the demise penalty.
