Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Crime department arrested an inter-state drug trafficker concerned in supplying medicine via an individual within the metropolis, an officer stated on Thursday.

The accused was taken into custody close to Nepal border. Police stated he used to purchase charas at low costs in Nepal and provide it to town.

According to extra DCP (crime) Rajesh Dandotiya, on September 12, the crime department workforce, whereas checking suspects close to Polo Ground bridge on MR-4 Road, intercepted Sakir Hussain, a resident of Chandan Nagar.

|A search of his belongings led to the restoration of two.2 kilograms of charas value a number of lakhs of rupees. During questioning, Sakir revealed that he had procured the contraband from Motihari, Bihar.

Later, against the law department workforce was despatched to Bihar to trace down his provider. Acting on the lead given by Sakir, the workforce arrested Ramu Prasad Yadav from Motihari. During preliminary questioning, Yadav admitted that he had been shopping for charas from Nepal and promoting it to Sakir Hussain, who would promote it in Indore at greater costs.

The crime department has said that the accused can be produced earlier than the courtroom, and they’re going to request police remand for detailed questioning. Officials stated the operation is a part of an ongoing marketing campaign to curb the acquisition, sale, and distribution of unlawful narcotics.
